Craft Saturday

Clip together buttons are a great way to customize your garments and bags. These buttons come in different sizes and are relatively cheap from any craft shop, I got mine from Spotlight.

Step One | What you need
Clip Together Buttons
Fabric Scissors
Fabric of your choice, nothing too heavy
Pencil to mark the fabric
Step Two
Get the fabric and cut a small square, place top bit of the button onto the fabric so you know how big to make the square.
Step Three
Simply lay the fabric face-down, place the button onto the fabric, then tuck the rest of the fabric into the button, making sure the sharp teeth around the edge of the button grip the fabric. Place the bottom piece onto the top button piece, push down quite firmly so both pieces snap together.
And then you have your new customized button ready to put on! Enjoy!

Cash Cult

My boyfriend’s band Cash Cult have asked me to start working on posters and stuff for their up and coming shows. Here's a sneak peek to what I’ve been up to.

The Decayed | Issue One

For my final project last year I created a zine called The Decayed. As opposed to it collecting dust I decided to sell it on Esty, and you’ll be able to buy it as soon as I do a big print run of it. The zine has inspired this blog in many ways; in order for The Decayed to grow I thought taking it to web would be a great opportunity to share all things crafty, creative and things I love.

Wellington Poster

Poster I did for Cash Cult Wellington gig back in Jan 2010.
